Kerala solar scam: Special squad of Crime Branch to probe into Saritha's allegations against Chandy

A special squad of crime branch will probe into the complaint lodged by Solar scam accused Saritha S Nair against senior political leaders including former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
The decision on the probe was taken by State Police Chief Loknath Behera on Saturday following the directive of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The DGP had also handed over the complaint to IG(crimes) Balram Kumar Upadhyay.
Saritha had lodged a complaint before Vijayan and Behera the other day requesting a probe into her allegations. She alleged that several leaders, MPs , MLAs and  Oommen Chandy had exploited her both physically and mentally.
In her complaint, Saritha said that she was sexually exploited by the representatives of Union and previous state government after promising her to give special recognition and new projects for their company 'Team Solar'.
Sources said that a new team would be constituted for probing the complaint.
Speaking to 'Express',  Loknath Behera said that the complaint was handed over to IG (crimes) and the  crime branch would look into the complaint.
"Crime branch is investigating the case based on the  complaints filed by Saritha. So this complaint would  also be considered and told the crime branch to look  into it. They will probe the each and every matter mentioned in the complaint ", Behera said.
He also pointed out that the crime branch has to  decide on whether a new team could be constituted or  not.
Meanwhile, the probe into the complaint against the former MP A P Abdullah Kutty which filed by Saritha at the woman police station at Cantonment police was failed to make any headway.
