It was a welcome surprise for visitors to the city who disembarked at the Chandigarh International Airport on Tuesday morning.
To commemorate World Tourism Day and the ongoing Tourism Week organised by Chandigarh administration, students of Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management (CIHM), Sector 42, greeted passengers with roses and smiles at the arrival.
The Institute also celebraAn on-the-spot poster and rangoli making competition was held with 15 teams comprising 45 participants coming in from various educational institutions in Chandigarh.
The team of Harprabhjeet and Nupur from GGDSD College, Sector 32, took home the first place in the rangoli competition while the design made by Tarun Kumar from Government College of Arts, Sector 10, was adjudged the best in the poster-making contest.
Urmila Passi, executive housekeeper, Hyatt, Chandigarh and Jeet, assistant manager, JW Marriott Chandigarh were the judges on the occasion.ted the day on campus with inter-college contests and functions.
